Frequently asked questions
When you add a friend you set a meeting cadence — how often you'd like to stay in touch (e.g. every 2 weeks). Orbit counts forward from your most recent logged activity and surfaces that friend on your home screen when you're within 7 days of being due — or if you're already overdue.
Open a friend's page, tap Log Activity, pick a type (coffee, call, text, dinner, etc.), choose a date, and add any optional notes. Saving resets the reminder timer based on that friend's cadence.
Snooze temporarily removes a friend from your home screen until the snooze date. It's useful when life gets busy and you know you can't connect for a while — 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or a custom date.
No — the year is completely optional. Orbit will still remind you about their birthday each year. The year is only used to calculate and display their age.
